The Department of Mechanical Engineering is administratively organized into five Groups which are housed in separate buildings and have laboratories and Centers located throughout the campus.

Although each Group has its own administrative office and staff, students' questions relating to

  • academics
  • advising
  • admissions
  • commencement
  • personal hardship

should be directed to the staff of the Mechanical Engineering Student Services Office, Building 530, Room 125, 650-725-7695, fax, 650-723-4882..

Regular office hours are 10am - 12:00 and 1:30 - 4:30pm Monday through Friday, with reduced hours during the Winter Quarter due to admissions processing.
