Call for Manuscripts 2016
Advanced Development – a journal on adult giftedness –
seeks articles for Volume 16
Advanced Development, a peer-reviewed journal dedicated as a forum for issues of gifted adults, is published by the Institute for the Study of Advanced Development, Inc. We invite manuscripts on the general themes of adult giftedness, advanced development, and undeveloped potential. Psychological, sociological, anthropological, educational, and artistic perspectives are welcome. The following topics represent some areas of interest:
- Theory and research on giftedness
- Social/cultural impacts on giftedness
- Moral exemplars and case studies of gifted adults
- Counseling issues, including the gifted identity
- Spirituality, meditation, and consciousness
- Critical self-perception and self-evaluation
- Creative individuals and the creative process
- Giftedness across the life-span
- Poetry, vignettes, line drawings, photos
DEADLINE Manuscripts are welcome at any time. Those received before January 31, 2017, will receive first consideration for Volume 16.
REVIEW PROCESS All papers are submitted for blind peer review. If recommended for publication, reviewers’ comments are sent to authors to aid in revisions.
FORMAT Manuscripts should be approximately 20 pages (5,000 words), double-spaced, and conforming to the guidelines of APA Publications Manual (Sixth Edition). Please check references carefully and proofread for nonsexist language. Figures must be sharp enough that the electronic transmission allows them to be reproduced clearly. Include a 125-word abstract and a 100-word biographical sketch.
